Our five rooms

Each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, a TV, and Wi-Fi. Breakfast included.

La chambre L'Émerveille

L'Émerveille

Spacious and considered: oak floors, a writing desk, a closet, and a premium queen bed. En-suite bathroom. The name means something like “wonder-struck,” which seems fair.

La Quadrille

A historic room furnished in antiques. Premium queen bed, oak floors, en-suite bathroom. It’s named for the Lobster Quadrille, the dance the Gryphon and the Mock Turtle teach Alice. In Shediac, it was nearly compulsory.

L'Échiquier

L'Échiquier

A large room with a fireplace, oak floors, a Victorian desk, and a premium queen bed. En-suite bathroom. It’s named for the chessboard of Through the Looking-Glass. Here, every move is yours.

La Cheshire

Finely carved windows and the original oak floors: the pride of 1800s craftsmen. Wardrobe, desk, and premium queen bed. Its private bathroom is just across the hall and yours alone, which gives it the gentlest rate in the house. Like its cat, it’s easy to overlook and worth finding.

Les Tweedles

The only room with a king bed, and the only one with its own kitchenette. En-suite bathroom. It’s named for Tweedledum and Tweedledee, though there’s only one bed and no quarrel.

The whole house

A family reunion, a wedding party, a writing retreat: all five rooms can be booked together. Write to info@legriffon.ca.
